A biogas-fueled power plant with
the word’s most modern technology was put into operation at
the Phuoc Long Pig Breeding Farm (PLPBF) in Ho Chi Minh City
yesterday.
As part of the East Asia Climate
Partnership Programme funded by the Korea Energy Management
Corporation (KEMCO), the plant was built at an estimated
cost of VND 21.5 billion (US$ 1.1 million), including VND 16
billion provided by the RoK businesses.
The plant, constructed by the
RoK-based HANATECH Company, includes four generators with a
combined capacity of 80 kWh, generating about 640,000 kW of
electricity per year, meeting 70% of the farm’s power
demand.
The PLPBF is large pig breeding
farm in Ho Chi Minh City with more than 15,000 pigs.(VNA) |
