Vietnam attends Francophonie Film Festival in Beijing

Vietnam joined the Francophonie Film Festival which opened at Canadian International School in the Chinese capital city of Beijing on March 4 with the film Choi Voi (Adrift).

This year’s festival sees 20 participating countries.

“Adrift” was produced in 2009 and has since won the ‘Best Director’ award at the 16th Vietnamese film festival, the Fipresci, International Critics’ Prize at the 66th Venice Film Festival and been screened at numerous film fests around the world. 

The best film will be selected through online voting and the result will be announced on March 29. (VNA)
