A
performance by Tof Theatre’s puppeteers.

Online– Three art troupes from Belgium will take part in the
Hue Festival 2010 which will b held from June 5 to 13,
according to the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation to Vietnam.
They include
the puppetry troupe from Tof Theatre, the Baladeux Circus
and a Vietnamese Belgian comedy artist.
Tof Theatre,
the contemporary puppetry troupe performed and gained
acclaim at the International Puppetry Festival in Hanoi in
2008. During the Hue Festival 2010, the troupe will give a
street performance with giant puppets beside the official
performance on stage named ‘Le Grand Retour’ (The
Return).
Two
prestidigitation artists of the “Baladeux” Circus will give
a special street performance which is a visual art and
non-verbal work. Meanwhile, Michelle Nguyen, who is
Vietnamese Belgian comedian, will perform a play which is
inspired from her homeland return in 2003.
Head of the
Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation to Vietnam Franck Pezza said
that “It’s a great honour of them to be able to join Hue
Festival which will have the participation of many art
troupes from different countries. This will help boost the
cultural diversity and globalisation while respecting the
traditional cultural value of each country.”
After
performances in Hue Festival, these artists will also have
free performances at many villages in the north.
