Many young people join blood donation campaign

Nhan Dan – Xuan Hong (Rose Spring) Festival 2010, the annual event to campaign for blood donation was held at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on March 6.

Under the theme ‘Sharing blood – sharing hopes’, this year’s event (the third of its kind) calls for the people to join the blood donation movement to provide blood for treatment and life saving.

The festival which will last until March 13, is expected to attract the participation of around 10,000 people for 7,000 units of blood.

Many localities nationwide such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Giang, Ninh Binh, Quang Tri have responded to the Festival.

The Festival was jointly held by the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHDT), the Hanoi’s Youth Association and the Hanoi Blood Donation Steering Board.
