German chess masters will visit
Vietnam to play local players on the 35th anniversary of the
formal establishment of Vietnam-German diplomatic relations.
The German Chess Federation
plans to send four male and two female masters on April
16-17.
The visiting team will comprise
international grandmaster (IGM) Robert Huebner, the German
No 6 seed, Jan Gustafsson (No 4), Daniel Buhmann (No 10) and
Daniel Fridman (No 3).
Elisabeth Paehtz, the world U18
champion and U20 champion in 2002 and 2004, and Kestino
Kachiani-Gersinske will also be making the trip to Hanoi.
Among the top Vietnamese players
scheduled to play the German visitors are IGM Le Quang Liem,
Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son and Dao Thien Hai, Le Thanh Tu and
Pham Bich Ngoc.(VNA) |
